Tsbytomd Film and Video Production

Filmography - Newest at the top

Here are all the projects that I have worked on thus far. The most current stuff will be at the top. I list all my projects at the moment, the goal is to eventually have so many projects that I only list the best.

Most Recent:

Photo deciding on what to film next In the studio at Murdoch, shooting WA Screen Talents episode 1.

In July of 2011, I decided to get back into video and film production. I started running around and helping out on any projects I could find. I was an extra on Loverboy 4 by Stuart Bender and Strike by Meg Shields and Roar Videos current feature film (as yet unnamed). I'm working as crew for WA Screen Talents tv show (currently in production).

Tsbytomd - Three video clips

In 2010 I got the urge to make music. My “career” never really got off the ground (no surprises really since I can't sing or play an instrument) but I produced some music (three “albums” of questionable quality) under the stage name “Tsbytomd”. I made a video clip for one track from each album.

Those three video clips were Jammin' on a lazy Sunday afternoon, Svelte and Bag of Rocks. The first and last were made with a borrowed camera, Svelte was made with a cheap and nasty (emphasis on the nasty) camera that I bought off eBay for like $30 (bad idea!). I like Jammin' best out of the three. My budget for all three totalled to about five dollars worth of petrol.

Hole in the Heart - Harlequin League

Harlequin League won 2nd place in a Battle of the Bands contest at the then named La Bog Inn (now The Rock) in 2007. Their prize was a video clip which was produced by me as the WA rep for Nextworld Studios. I met with the band, who had an idea on what they wanted the video to look like (based on the cover of their album at the time). They supplied the location and the people, I supplied the camera and expertise.

I filmed and edited the video clip, with direction coming from a variety of people (myself and various members of the band). I liked the result (at the time), though I get the feeling the band was less than enthused as I didn't see it on their website (since disappeared) or on their MySpace page (not updated in over a year at time of writing).

One of the lessons I learned at the time was “don't use lots of red light” as it makes it very hard to focus. Watch Hole in the Heart here (YouTube). I've learnt a lot and progressed since 2007.

Various small roles

Between 2003 and 2007 I worked with Nextworld Studios on a variety of small projects, some commercials, some corporate videos and a number of video clips for bands. The main band videos of note that I worked on in some capacity were The Memoirs of Dr Mafesto by The Fault, Attack that Gentleman by Streetlight, Pieces by Outfit Faux and Like a dog by Roman J Wilde.

Those video can be seen from Nextworld Studios' webite or their YouTube channel.

Motifé with Nextworld Studios

This was the very first project that I worked on - an independent feature length film being shot in Perth. Starting from around mid 2002, I worked with this project for about a year. Unfortunately, the project was never completed. It was were I cut my teeth and was able to experience a wide variety of roles. I learnt a lot, picked up a few tips and tricks and started me on my love of producing video.

I still work with Nextworld Studios, though they have relocated to the Eastern States.
